Whether you need to perform any modifications to media files using Java codes or simply convert them to multiple media formats such as FLV, AVI or MPEG-4, Xuggler is worth a shot. It is a practical and useful Java library specially designed for developers who need to manipulate video content using Java scripts.
Taking into consideration the huge amount of videos presented on the Internet, developers frequently need to modify these files in their applications. Because Xuggler uses FFmpeg, known as being a cross-platform solution for recording, capturing and converting audio and video files, the utility handles video transcoding and media modifications.
What’s important is that Xuggler provides you with two distinct programming APIs namely MediaTool API and Xuggler Advanced API.
The first one helps you to quickly decode, encode and modify media files using Java scripts, while the second component enables you to add a layer of complexity when it comes to performing these kinds of actions.
Therefore, if you want to transcode media from one format to another, you’ll just have to specify the ‘inputfilename’ and the ‘outputfilename’. For instance, using the ‘private static’ variable in Java, you can easily specify the path and the output format. Firstly, you need to import a new IMediaReader listener whose main purpose is to read and decode the specified media. Then, writing all the arguments, you have the possibility to open the media container and start converting your files.
Considering all the above, Xuggler is an effective Java library specially intended for developers who need to perform transcoding and media manipulation actions.

What’s New In?
i am working on Video Coding in java. After finding the code from a link of sourceforge, i tried to make it work but got stuck. I tried many codes but none of them worked. this is the link of the codes. Please have a look and find out the problem.
Thanks in advance
Im new in Java.
I have some problem in the use of the the media library of Java (Xuggler)
I need to perform an action with several media files in a folder.
I have found a useful example for processing one single file but I need to have the same functionality for several files, for example:
When I have several files.mp4.avi in the folder and I make them appear in the view of the player, i need that:
When the media opens, its show the folder where i have the files that I want to process.
Next, i click on a media file and i press play. I need that when I play the media file, i press pause on the other files until I click on play to the file i have clicked, for example I have click on media_1.mp4 and click on media_2.avi, when i press play on media_1.mp4, I want that media_2.avi opens automatically and press pause on it until I press play on media_2.avi
There are many methods in java to do your task, use the method “setDisplayMetrics()” on class “MediaFormat” and set the position of the video player and use the “click()” method on media player and put the index of the media file in the “click()” method on media player.
Thanks for your response
Thanks for your answer. I tried to do your task but it is not working with that way. In that way i can play only the 1 file. Then I want to use another method to do my task. I dont know if I have to use the “wait()” method. So if you know this method please tell me how to use it.
Does anyone knows how to display the position of the media file in the playlist?
I want that when i click on a media file, i have to add this media file to my playlist.
Then when I press play the other media file are still on pause state. I want that when I press play on the file that I want to be on pause state, I see the other media file playing.
Thanks for your help,
I found a solution for my problem.
I am using the “MPMoviePlayerViewController.m” class to play the
