The video shows the basic initial aircraft setups and a nice hop into the aircraft from a perfect level with the runway in front and both sides of the aircraft in sight. There is still some simple things I need to do with the aircraft to get into a good point of view and I will post that in the future. The Twin Otter is an excellent aircraft to use when having passengers that want to be able to leave early, but still be back to the airport before any serious flying. The aircraft has the ability to carry one 20’x24′ tent and additional rolling gear. There are different options for the cargo and people, most of which have their limitations. The Twin Otter has two doors on the sides of the aircraft on the cargo area where the usual luggage compartment door is located. From the video it is apparent that the aircraft seems to have a fairly robust setup, but that does not mean it is not capable of being damaged easily.
The panel detail is very good, the aircraft is very well modeled, the interior looks superb, panels are modeled well with good texture work and the doors and cockpit are also modeled in good detail. The Twin Otter interior is very well constructed with great attention to detail, The instrument panel and all the switchgear is expertly modeled with the aircraft is in good condition and intact with at least one good spare.
The models are well done and do look great. The switch gear is in good condition and is immaculately detailed. The panel and switch gear design are superb as is the interior design. For the majority of the aircraft you can operate it without any problems, but flying it in its immediate area is a little tricky, it is difficult to pick up the channel and climb at the same time, however it does work. In the real world the channel you pick and climb changes dramatically, also the local safety environment is less than ideal, so the plane works and flies correctly and I am very happy with it. On simulation it will not be clear whether you are flying or on a test flight in an area that normally the Twin Otter will not be flying in. The engine sound is very good with very low level noise. The model in motion is easy to model, it is a very good looking aircraft. The landing gear in this aircraft is very good with digital steps that move automatically as the aircraft does. The IFE is great with the local information displayed including a weather map of the area you are flying. The local police is displayed and they are very helpful, if you are flying at night in poor visibility, they will flash their headlights. It is a good look at the real world, with a different design than the FlyJSim one. If you choose this aircraft for your career you will need to read a good FSX manual or FSX manual book, and learn the Twin Otter and also the flight envelope to be a good bush plane pilot.
